Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection - CDWTP is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge ranging between 20.00 CHF and 50.00 CHF per day plus VAT and an excess amount. If the renter purchases CDWTP, National reduces the renters responsibility for theft, loss and/or damage to the rental vehicle including but not limited to towing, storage, loss of use, administrative and or diminished value of the rental vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and applicable laws. CDWTP is not insurance. The purchase of CDWTP is not a required condition of rental. The protection provided by CDWTP may duplicate the renters existing coverage and National is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renters existing coverage. Therefore the renter should examine their personal credit card protections, automobile insurance policies or other sources of coverage which my duplicate the protection provided by CDWTP. In all cases CDWTP does not cover the renter for damages caused by driver negligence or legal violation. In these cases the renter will be liable for the entire financial loss incurred by the lessor.
If you wish to discuss or dispute any matters concerning damage to your rental vehicle then please contact the Rental Company using the contact information below: customerservice@ehiglobal.ch
All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as pick-up will be subject to a one-way fee. Domestic and international one-way rentals are permitted to selected locations and must be pre-booked or authorized at the time of pick-up. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.
All vehicles are delivered with full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. If a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel the renter will be charged for the difference plus an additional fee of 50 CHF. VAT and local fees and local surcharges will apply to fuel charges.
A safety kit consisting of a safety triangle and safety jacket is required by law and provided in all vehicles. The customer may provide their own safety kit but National is not liable for fines issued to renters who cannot provide a kit when asked by police authorities. Any fines levied by police for compulsory safety equipment not in the rental vehicle during a police stop will be charged to the renter.
Personal Accident Insurance - PAI is an optional insurance that can be purchased at the time of rental. PAI covers all passengers, including the driver, up to a certain amount in case of disability or death as a consequence of an accident.
Visa, American Express and MasterCard are accepted as payment and deposit for the rental. All customers are required to place a deposit plus the rental amount taken by credit card. The credit card of the renter must be valid at least 6 months from the rental drop off date. Roadside assistance protection (RAP). National provides roadside assistance to the renter. This includes a 24-hour emergency service including provision of a replacement vehicle in case of lost vehicle key, shipping of the key, on-site assistance in case of tire breakdowns, towing service, forced unlocking of the vehicle if the keys are locked inside, jump-start assistance, and refueling service up to 5 liters. Roadside assistance is available in almost all European countries; the current list of countries is available at the rental branch at the time of rental. By checking the appropriate box on the front of this form, the renter undertakes to pay a flat-rate fee that covers all roadside assistance services. Roadside assistance is also available without payment of this flat-rate fee; it will then be billed according to actual costs incurred for each assistance service rendered. Roadside Assistance Protection is an optional product; before purchasing you may wish to check if your personal coverage is adequate. If you decline RAP then you will be required to pay any applicable charges and seek compensation from your carrier. RAP is not insurance.
